ILL Scanning
Purpose:
To provide instructions for Evening Circulation Scanning
Overview:
Circulation students will scan articles that are going out for ILL when the ILL department does not have the staffing
available.

Procedure
1. Open the Fujitsu Scan Snap Scanning program by pressing the STOP button on the unit. The blue light will illuminate.
2. Place the document to be scanned face-up in the center of the black scanning mat.
3. Scanning
a. Push the large Scan button, which will start the scan. the image will appear in the Scan Snap program box.
b. For each new page to scan, click continue scanning in the Scan Snap manager program.
c. Once the scan is done, select finish scanning, which will bring up the editing screen for the Scan Snap software.
5. Editing
a. Preview the scans on the left side of the image viewer. If all scans are properly cropped and final, click save and exit, continue with step e.
b. If scans need to be edited, highlight it on the right side, and use the tools above the left side image to make changes. When a tool is chosen, the directions for its use are in the top box.
c. Choose the correct page layout from the options near the tools. Options include: one full-page, split into 2 pages with the left side first, or split into 2 pages with the right side first.
d. When scans are complete click save and exit.
e. Click on scan to folder and add the file name, scan number, and direct it to e saved to S:\CCLIS\IL\scans
