Returning Reserve Books through Campus Mail

Purpose

Books can be transferred to Heritage Hall and to Faculty when returning personal copies from Reserve

Overview

This is the process that is used to send books through Campus mail and ensure that the bags are returned to the Christopher Center.

Item barcodes, Red Bags, Luggage Tags

Procedure

1. Red bags will be cataloged in Sierra with the barcode and bag number inserted into the luggage tag. The Bags will be titled Reserve Bag (Number)

2. When getting sending out the bag, a slip of paper will be put into the clear plastic window with the name of the Professor and their office number on one side

3. On other side will be labelled "Return to Christopher Center Circulation Desk"

4. Check the bag out to the appropriate Professor, place return items into the bag, and place the bag into outgoing campus mail.

5. When the bags are returned, they will be checked back in and placed on the appropriate shelf in the ASRS area.
