Purpose:

The CCL Facebook Page can be used as a means to disseminate important information regarding building status, upcoming events, etc.

Overview:

The Valparaiso University’s Christopher Center Library Facebook page is used for marketing purposes as well as to disseminate important information regarding building status.

Required Knowledge/Skills:

Basic knowledge of the social media outlet Facebook

Safety Issues/Precautions:

Valparaiso University’s Christopher Center Library Facebook Page is not for personal use.

Equipment/Supplies:

Computer with internet access, personal Facebook account, administrative access to the Valparaiso University’s Christopher Center Library Facebook page

Procedure

1. log in to your personal Facebook account.

2. In the upper right-hand corner of the Facebook window, click on the upside-down triangle icon.

3. When the drop-down menu titled “Use Facebook as:” appears, highlight and click on the “Valparaiso University’s Christopher Center Library” option.

a. If this option does not appear, you may not have administrative access to the page. Please contact Ruth Connell.

5. You may now post status updates, pictures, and share other information in the same manner as you would through your personal Facebook page.4. You will be redirected to the Valparaiso University’s Christopher Center Library page.

a. Unless specifically assigned to post-marketing information, limit posts to vital building information only.

7. When the drop-down menu titled “Use Facebook as:” appears, highlight and click on your name.6. To return to your personal Facebook page, click the upside-down triangle icon located in the upper right hand corner of the screen.

8. You will be redirected to your home screen.

9. Logout of Facebook.
