Purpose:
The Christopher Center has six (6) printers available for patron printing throughout the building.
Overview:
Patrons may print to any one of six (6) printers throughout the Christopher Center. Students, faculty, and staff may have print jobs deducted from their print quota. Non-affiliated patrons can print to the guest printer, located behind the Circulation Desk, at $0.10 per page after being logged on to the Paper Cut program as a guest. The Circulation Desk is responsible for replenishing paper on the 2nd floor. IT will replenish paper on the 1st floor printers and should be called for any technical issues or toner outages for all of the printers available to patrons.

Procedure
1. Color Printouts:
a. 3130 color printer is located on the 1st floor.
b. Print outs cost $0.25 per page
2. Student, Faculty, and staff printing:
a. Log in to a computer using LDAP username and password.
b. Print item desired to appropriate printer.
c. Log into Paper Cut:
i. Use LDAP username and password.
ii. Choose the length of the Paper Cut Log in.
iii. Select the desired printer.
iv. Click “OK”.
d. If the patron is out of Print Quota more can be purchased at the Circulation Desk.
3. Non-affiliated/Guest Printing:
a. Log into Paper Cut:
i. Use LDAP username and password.
ii. Choose the length of Paper Cut Log in.
iii. Select the desired printer.
iv. Click “OK”.
b. Patron must come to the Circulation Desk and pay for printouts before they can be released.
4. Service:
a. Paper outage:
i. Paper may be taken from Copier Rooms to replenish the printers.
ii. Open paper ream and insert into Paper drawer, making sure that the paper does not go above the top of the paper drawer.
b. Paper Jam:
i. Alert IT to which printer is experiencing a paper jam.
c. Toner outage
i. Alert IT to which printer is out of toner.
