Purpose

Deleting records of personal copies when Course Reserve has expired

Overview

Items from the Course Reserve are removed from the Course list and the records must be deleted from Millennium.

Procedure

THIS STEP IS TO BE DONE ONLY AFTER THE DELETING RESERVE LISTS PROCEDURE IS DONE

1. Using the drop-down menu on the upper right side of Sierra, choose “Delete Items”.

2. Change the drop-down menu on the upper left of the screen to “b Barcode”

3. Scan or key in barcode of item

4. Verify that barcode scanned or keyed is for correct barcode

5. Change “View” box to “I ITEM”

6. Click the boxes on the left side of the item title(s), indicating the item(s) to be deleted.

7. Click the “Delete” button in the center right of the screen.

8. Click “Yes” on the “Delete Record(s)” pop-up box.

9. Click the “Edit” button in the upper right of Sierra

10. Select “File” from the menu bar at the top of the screen.

11. Click “Delete Bibliographic Record” from the drop down menu under “File”

12. Click “Yes” on the “Delete record” screen

13. Place the barcoded pocket or time limit slip in the proper location for reuse
