Overview:
Circulation Student Training consists of three parts.
Procedure:
1. Orientation: Approximately 30 minutes where the student is given a very brief overview of everything within the department
2. One on one training at a slower pace of everything broken into steps over a 2 week period using the Circulation Training Checklists shared with each manager as well as the student trainee via Google Drive.
3. Returning students will also go through a modified version at the start of every Fall semester as well as any time they are gone for at least one semester. They will be given a test via BlackBoard to help judge areas that they need retraining in.
3. Ongoing training quizzes and/or a comprehensive “test” will go out during the semester.
4. Spring Semester also includes a one/two hour “Difficult Patron Seminar\Active Shooter Seminar”.
