CCLIR-related COVID-19 Building Signage

Purpose
To maintain and update the signage within the Christopher Center, during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Overview
The Circulation Department places approved signage throughout the building. Thursday evening students will replace signs when damaged or lost.
Required Knowledge/Skills
General knowledge of and adherence to VU campus social distancing policy. Observation of common building usage. Awareness of assigned room and table capacity.
Safety Issues/Precautions
Maintain social distancing.
Equipment/Supplies
Building Signs Checklist, COVID-19 building signage located in the student work file, Blue painter's tape, Copy machine, laminator, color printer if applicable
Procedure
1. Acquire a copy of the Building Signs Checklist from the wall of the evening circulation manager's desk, or from S:\CCLS \Covid19 \Signs
2. During walk-throughs, note any damaged or missing signs on the Building Signs Checklist
3. Locate the appropriate replacement signs from Shared drive S:\ CCLS\ Covid19\ Signs
4. Print the appropriate number of signs needed, using the color copier on the 2nd floor
5. Laminate and trim the signs
6. Place the appropriate replacement signs in the necessary areas of the Christopher Center
a. Use blue painters tape
b. Place painters tape on the back of the sign so it is not visible
7. Remove all signs when directed by VU administration or the CCLIR Dean.
8. This task is to be completed on Thursday evenings.
