Filling out Paperwork for Hires

Overview:

The Student Employment Coordinator fills out all hiring paperwork for all library services departments

Procedure

1. All students who are hired for the Fall and Spring Semester, must be eligible for work-study.

2. Summer students who are eligible for work-study and are current employees have priority over new temporary student hires.

3. Qualifications for Work-Study are:

a. For Fall and Spring Semester students must be taking a minimum of 12 credits to qualify for work-study.

b. To qualify for work-study in the Summer sessions the students must be enrolled at least half time.

i. If they have 6 or more credits during summer 1 they qualify for summer 1 work-study

ii. If they have 6 or more credits during summer 2 they qualify for summer 2 work-study

iii. If they have 3 or more credits during each summer session they qualify for both work-study for both sessions.

4. Paperwork:

a. Human Resources will send all paperwork to new employee's email.

5. All students must go over to HR on the second floor to fill out tax paperwork immediately upon hire.

6. Create a Student file for all new circulation hires.
