Logging In to Blackboard for Instructors
Blackboard is Valparaiso University’s online course management system. Many of the classes taught on campus use Blackboard (also known as Bb or Blackboard Learn) for supplemental class material. Bb is also used
as a way to teach distance learning courses.
Blackboard is a web-based course management system. In other words, you must have an internet connection and a compatible web browser in order to use Blackboard. Currently, we recommend Firefox or Chrome be used for best results.
Step-by-step guide
Simple steps for locating and logging in to Blackboard:
Log into your valpo.edu Google account (gmail, etc.) before beginning
- Go to blackboard.valpo.edu
- Use your ValpoNet username and password
- Your ValpoNet username is your short username usually the first letter of your first name followed by the first seven letters of your last name. Your password will be the same password you use for Gmail, lab computers, office computers, etc.
