Base Navigation for Blackboard Learn offers a new way to navigate and  access your Blackboard Learn course content that will save you time and  help you stay on top of what’s most important. 

Base Navigation’s clean, personalized interface enables quick access  to the information you need, the way you want it. It highlights what’s new and what’s due and offers valuable insights into performance— all  without changing the course environment.

Step-by-step guide to access courses

1. Log into Blackboard at blackboard.valpo.edu
   
   

2. Click on 'activity stream' in the left hand menu to view campus activities and more.

3. To access the course home page click 'courses' in the left hand menu

4. To access organizations you're involved in, lead, etc. click 'organizations' in the left hand menu
   
   

    

5. To access your calendar, merge your calendars, etc. click 'calendar' in the left hand menu
   
   

    

6. To access messaging for each course click 'messages' in the left hand menu
   
   

    

7. To access your grade center for all courses as well as individual courses click 'grades' in the left hand menu
   
   

   
   
   

8. To access tools such as content collection, goals, etc. click 'tools' in the left hand menu
   
   

   
   
   

9. To sign out of Blackboard click 'sign out' in the left hand menu
