Save a Microsoft File in PDF Format

Microsoft Office 2010 and newer versions will allow you to save files in the applications (such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) in PDF format.

Step-by-step guide

  1. To ensure you can edit the file later in the event changes are needed, first save your file in the default format for the application you're using. I.E. .docx in Word, .xlsx in Excel, etc.
  2. After saving, do a "Save As" and select the PDF format before clicking the Save button.
