You may add ad hoc content components to your syllabus, in addition to the components defined in the template. You will see an “Add” icon on the left-hand side of the publisher and an “Add component” button at the bottom of the publisher.

Click either the icon or the button to add a component, then give your component a name and click the save button. By default, your new component will be added to the bottom of the syllabus.

You also will have the ability to reorder components in your course Simple Syllabus.

After your component has been added, if you would like to hide the name of the component so that it does not display on the syllabus, uncheck the “display name” box.
