Add Textbooks and Materials
Simple Syllabus makes it easy to add text and materials using the required syllabus element: Textbooks(s), Other Readings, and Materials.
Although many of the fields in this template component are likely geared toward textbooks, you are still able to add non-textbook supplies. This article lists instructions and gives examples of how to add a textbook, no textbook, and non-textbook.
Step-by-step guide
In Simple Syllabus Edit mode, scroll to the Textbook(s), Other Readings, and Materials component
Click the pencil icon next to Add new Material
Click Book Search
Type the Book Title or ISBN
Click on the Book image to select it
Items marked with an asterisk * are required.
Type the additional information.
Click the Save Button when complete.
If there is no book or you have materials stored on your Blackboard, you can add them, too. Here are a few examples.
You can also add non-textbook materials, supplies, or equipment needed for your course.
Use the 'Title' field and add an image of your item by clicking 'Add image' to the left of the Title field, and then uploading an image from your device or providing a URL.
Here are a couple of examples.
To reorder items in the list, Click and drag on the Move button
To modify or remove a textbook or material, Click the Pencil
