Approve the CAS Faculty Peer Evaluation Post-Observation Meeting Summary in Perceptive Content

Peer classroom observations are intended to affirm and improve teaching quality. The CAS - Peer Teaching Evaluation Procedure provides a detailed explanation of this process. The instructions below pertain to the post-observation meeting form. After a peer evaluation is conducted, and the faculty and observer meet, the observer completes this form. The form then routes to Perceptive Content where the faculty and their Dept. Chair review and approve the form. Upon approval, the form resides in Perceptive long-term storage. Instructions for approving the post-observation meeting summary are detailed below.

Step-by-Step Guide

Email Notification of a New Task

  • When you have a new document to review, you'll receive an email from imagenow@valpo.edu with the subject: "New Task Created (FAC-Peer Evaluation Review)"

  • Read the message and click the link in the email to go directly to Perceptive Content.

Logging in to Perceptive Experience

  • Enter your ValpoNet credentials to login.

 

Opening a Document to Review in Tasks

  • Once in Perceptive Content, you'll see a list of your pending documents for review in your My Assigned list.

  • Double-click the FAC-Peer Evaluation (or, if you have other taks you may begin with the first item in the list; the list is populated in a First-In-First-Out/oldest document listed first sequence).

  • The relevant document will open on the right-hand side of the screen.

  • Review the document, noting that there may be multiple pages.

    • To change pages, use the arrow keys in the lower-left corner.

    • Zoom controls are in the center of the bottom of the page.

Completing Review of the Document

  • If you don’t have any comments to add, click:

    • Complete

    • Reviewed Document

    • Save changes, click "Yes"

  • If you do have comments to add, please see directions below on adding text annotations. It is important to note we do not add comments in the "Comments" box because these are not permanently stored.

Annotating a Document (Adding your Comments)

  • Click the pencil icon and select Create Annotation from the menu.

  • Move your cursor to the location on the document where you'd like to place the annotation.

    • Please do not cover a previous reviewer's annotation or any of the content of the form.

  • Use the drop down menu to select Text for Annotation Type/Template.

  • If you wish to add an additional comment to remain with the document, repeat the same process above.

 

 

Please do not return or reject a task in Perceptive. If you do not approve, please annotate with your comments and mark the task complete. Your task (review of the form) is complete.
