Library@valpo.edu Gmail account

The Library@valpo.edu account is the default account for the following:

--all forms created for reporting and statistics gathering, and

--the account that the "Ask Us!" is based within.

Approved owners: the library dean, all circulation managers, anyone needing access to create forms and others as determined.

Access: Full access can be granted to others. For the account username and password, contact Ruth Connell.

Status: Once an invitation is accepted, "delegated status" allows the CCLS personnel member access to email via her/his regular @valpo.edu account. For full access (form creation, calendar, settings, etc.), the CCLS personnel member must log into the account directly (using the account's username and password).

Monitoring and Account Replies: The account email is monitored by the Circulation Managers. Standard replies to frequently asked questions can be found within the account's Drive documents. Emails from this account are often forwarded to librarians and others in the CCLS department for direct interaction with the original sending party.

Vacation Settings: When the University is closed for more than one day, it is strongly recommended that this account use a "Vacation Setting" so that replies to emails indicate that the library is closed and when it will reopen/respond to the email.
