Purpose

Procedure for archiving Library departments' inactive policies and procedures.

Overview

On occasion, a Library policy or procedure becomes inactive. Instead of deleting the policy or procedure, the Library has chosen to archive department policies and procedures for possible future reference. All inactive policies or procedures should be stored in S:/CCLS/All Staff/Inactive Policies and Procedures/<department name folder>. A department may choose to also store such policies or procedures in their shared department folder S:/CCLS/All Staff/<department name folder>.

PC, access to the Library's shared drive

Procedure

  • Go to the Library's shared drive, S:\CCLS.
  • Select the "All Staff" folder.
  • Select the subfolder "Inactive Policies and Procedures." In this subfolder, there are additional folders for each Library department.
  • Place the document in the appropriate departmental folder.
