Processing Dalian transcripts
Needed to complete this process: Dalian transcript(Slate), Statement of Equivalency from Engineering(Registrar S:Drive), Course crosswalk from Colleague(TCEQ, ..., to get all course information)
1) Working from the Dalian transcript and the Statement of Equivalency for the appropriate major find the courses under 'Transfer/AP Course Used to Fulfill Requirement' on the Statement of Equivalency. Mark what course in the margin of the Dalian transcript. Please see below for example. FYI - Please remember to check if the student has passed the course with the required grade.
If you can't find all the courses or if you have any questions please email the College of Engineering. Please make sure that the final transcript is being used and the most up-to-date Statement of Equivalency is being used.
Some updates to the Statement of Equivalencies are - 'Advanced Mathematics I' and 'Advanced Mathematics II' would equal MATH 131, 132, 253, 260 & 270 per the chair of the math department. Foreign language is typically waived. Ask about what catalog year these students should start in since they have already completed some courses and will be graduating in 2 years. This is an agreement between Dalian and the College of Engineering.
As of October 11, 2023 these are the most up-to-date Statements of Equivalency for Civil & Mechanical Engineering. These are examples and can change. Please ask the College of Engineering for the most up-to-date Statements of Equivalency.

Finally from here after comparing the transcript and statement of equivalency. It's entering this information into Colleague for the students. It's entered like transfer credit. If there is ever any discrepancies, please work with the College of Engineering. If there isn't a course, ask about an updated transcript or if a course equivalency has changed.
