Downloading the Valpo Canvas Template

When you are first setting up your course, please follow the directions below to download the standard Valpo content template if you have not already migrated your course content. This includes information and examples on how to create course content. This is a one-time process for new courses that do not have copied content. If you have any questions, please reach out to cital@valpo.edu.

Downloading the Course

On the right side of your dashboard, click on “Import from Commons.”

Next, Click on “Standard Template.”

Open

Next, click on “import/Download.”

Next, select the course or courses you want to copy into and then click on “Import into Course.”

You have successfully imported your course template. It may take several minutes for the template to show in your course. If you have any issues or need help, please reach out to cital@valpo.edu.
