The list below explains the typical processing time for common Registrar Services. Please note that there may be delays during our peak times, such as the start of a new term or the end of a term. Please submit your forms and requests as early as possible to avoid delays.

Automated email notification, at the times of submission as well as processing, is included in the workflows of our electronic forms.

Email notification is also sent for each update to our service desk requests, which are created by emails send to registrar@valpo.edu, degree.audit@valpo.edu, and registrar.transcripts@valpo.edu.

Visit helpdesk.valpo.edu and log in to check the status of your service desk requests at any time.

 

Transcript Services:

Most orders for electronically delivered transcripts are fulfilled the same day. Orders for paper transcripts are typically mailed by Parchment on the same day that the order is placed if the order is placed by 3:00 p.m. For records older than 1990, or students of the Law School, requests can take up to 10 additional business days.


Verification Services:

Please allow at least three to five business days from the date the request is received by the Office of the Registrar. If you have an outstanding obligation, depending on how quickly you resolve the hold, your request may take more than five business days. If requested during peak times (such as the beginning of the semester, end of the semester, pre-registration period, and graduation season), your request may take longer.

Diploma Services:

Diplomas will be mailed to the address provided on the Diploma Request form in DataVU as soon as they are printed, no more than 30 days after the end of the semester.
Graduates receive an email from the Office of the Registrar when degrees have been posted to transcripts and diplomas have been printed.
