Simple Syllabus allows instructors to track student engagement with syllabi using the student engagement feature. In order to see student engagement with a specific syllabus, navigate to the web version of your syllabus. If you are working directly in Simple Syllabus, you can view the web version by navigating to the ‘Published’ tab, searching for your syllabus, and clicking ‘View’. If you are working in your Blackboard environment, you can simply navigate to the published syllabus via the Simple Syllabus button on the navigation menu. 

At the top of the published syllabus, you will see a blue horizontal bar:

In the image above, the dark blue portion of the bar on the lefthand side is representative of the number of students who have viewed the syllabus, while the light blue portion on the righthand side is representative of the number of students who have not viewed the syllabus. Hovering either color will display the total number of students that fall into that category.

Click on the blue bar for a more detailed breakdown of syllabus engagement by student:
