Adding a Discussion Board in Blackboard

This information is for faculty who want to use discussion boards in Blackboard. This is a type of teaching tool that promotes social and collaborative learning.

In the Course Content section of your Blackboard Navigation Menu, click on Discussions

2. Click Create Forum

3. Type the Name of the forum

Note: All items with an * are required

4. Set the Forum Availability to Yes

5. Choose Forum Settings; then Click Submit

6. The new discussion board forum has been added to Blackboard
