Purpose:
To return the ASRS to service when the servers go down.
Overview:
Resetting the ASRS Server to restore two-way communication between the ILS and ASRS systems.
Required Knowledge/Skills:
Basic knowledge of the Dematic interface and Sierra Telnet, and personal initials and password.

Procedure:
1. Open up the Sierra toolbar and choose the Telnet icon(computer)
2. Type the following
3. “v” for VT 100
4. “y” for yes
5. “a” for additional System functions
6. “r” for Restart a Terminal
7. Enter your initials
8. Hit “enter
9. Enter your password
10. Hit “enter”
11. “f” for forward until you find the number for “ASRS Server”(this will change every time you go through this process)
12. Enter the number for the ASRS Terminal
13. Contact the IT System Administrator in charge of the ASRS Server. Monday –Friday 8-5(Currently this is Matt Hernes x6891)
14. Let the administrator know that you need to reset the server. At this time they will start the server reset on their end.
15 IT will let you know when to go to the next step
16. “y” when you are asked if you are sure
17. Space bar to continue
18. Go back to the ASRS Computers and log in to the EMS Control Center as Administrator. Username: Admin(case sensitive) No
password
19. Go to the Startup-Shutdown tab and click on shutdown at the bottom of the page.
20. Once the system has shut down (cogs on the left side of the screen will turn grey) click on Startup at the bottom of the screen to restart the system.
21. Call FM to have someone come out and reset the system in the pit.
