To apply for student jobs on campus, you will use 12Twenty.
What is 12Twenty?
12Twenty is the place to look for student work-study jobs on campus at Valpo. It offers:
Career development resources
Job postings
Resume assistance
Please note the following:
Work-study is not a grant; instead, it involves wages paid directly to the student through direct deposit into their bank account for the hours they work each week.
Students work an average of 10 to 12 hours per week.
More than 1200 Valpo students (over 35%) help finance their education through campus employment.

You will use your DataVU information to log in at valpo.12twenty.com/Login.
First time on 12twenty, Click the “sign up for an account” button and use your Valpo Email in the username, and create a unique password
For assistance logging in, please contact the Career and Alumni Office
After you log in to your account for the first time, you will select the profile tab from the left side navigation bar to complete your personal profile.
To add a resume, select “Application Materials” tab and follow the screen prompts to upload your document.
The Career Center will approve documents within 48 business hours.
Once your documents have been approved, you can begin to apply for positions.

Apply for jobs on 12Twenty
Click on the “OCI and Job Listing” module from the left side navigation bar
Click on the “Type of Job” tab, and click on the “Valparaiso University-On Campus Job” selection
Select the job that you are interested in applying to by clicking the Job Title, for more details on the position. Each listing will list all the pertinent information, job description, application deadlines, and application instructions
If you would like to apply for a position, Click the “Apply” button in the top right hand corner of the page to submit your application materials
Confirmation of the Application will be a “Congratulations” page and a confirmation email
If you have questions about applying for an on-campus job, please get in touch with the Career Center.
If you have questions about the job or your application, contact the person listed in 12Twenty for the particular job.
Interviews
If you are selected for an interview, the department representative for the job you applied to will contact you directly.
Career Center staff can help you prepare for your job interviews. If interested in interview assistance, please contact the Career Center.
If you have not worked on campus before, you will be required to complete Red Carpet Onboarding and your I-9 identification documents before you can begin working on campus.

When can you begin working?
You cannot begin working on campus until you have submitted all required paperwork and Human Resources has processed your paperwork.
Once you have submitted all required paperwork, please allow 48-72 hours for processing.
You and your supervisor will receive an email notification informing you that your hiring process is complete, and then you may begin working.
Your supervisor will train you on how to use the Time Entry system for recording your hours worked.
