Importing Content into Simple Syllabus

This guide will cover how to import earlier versions of syllabi into Simple Syllabus and how to reset content that includes old language.

 Step-by-Step Guide

Updating Language by Importing Earlier Versions of Syllabi into Simple Syllabus

Step #1

Map Content.

Use the drop-down list to Select those Components you do not want to import.

Step #2

Select do not import for Slate Student Success, Diversity and Inclusion, Title IX Statement, and Bias and Incident Reporting.

Step #3

Click the Finalize Button when to proceed.

Step #4

Click the Start import of the following content Button

Components have copied, Click the Close Button to finish

Reset Content to Update Language

Step #1

Open CANVAS > Select Your Course > In the Course Navigation, Click Simple Syllabus > Edit

OR

Open Simple Syllabus > Find Your Syllabus > Edit

Step #2

Click the Reset Button.

Step #3

Select the Slate Student Success, Diversity and Inclusion, Title IX Statement, and Bias and Incident Reporting. This will remove the old language of the content selected without changing the content you have imported.

Step #4

Click the Yellow Reset Button. Once you select the Reset Button, it will say “Reset Complete.” Items that cannot be edited will automatically update.
