Using Direct Links for Appointments in Starfish
Direct Links are used to take users who click them directly to a specific area of Starfish.
An example of how this feature can help your students connect with you:
- If you are raising a flag for a student, or following up with an advisee regarding a flag, and would like them to schedule an appointment with you, you can include a Direct Link in your message that will direct the student to your appointment scheduling page. Once the student logs in to Starfish, the student is sent directly to schedule an appointment. This update decreases the number of steps a student would need to take in the past. Rather than being sent to the Starfish main landing page where they would then need to navigate to find your scheduling page, they are taken directly there!
