Student Withdrawal Form Approval
Departments: Interlibrary Loan & Circulation
Procedure: Student Withdrawal Notification
Created 14 January 2010, Rev. 22 September 2010, Rev. 8 February 2024
Purpose: This procedure describes steps to take within ILLiad when a student withdraws from the university.
Overview: When a student withdraws from the university, students ILL accounts need to be blocked to prevent future requests from being placed and searched for any outstanding material.
Procedure
1. When Circulation is notified that a student has withdrawn, they will forward the “Change in Enrollment Status” email to the ILLM.
2. The Circulation Manager should check Sierra to make sure there aren’t any books checked out or fines that need to be resolved.
3. The ILLM will perform a search in ILLiad for the student by name.
4. If the student has an ILL account, the account status will be changed to “Blocked” and a note will be added to the account stating that the student has withdrawn from the university.
5. If the student does have an ILL account, check under the 'Requests' tab for any currently checked out material.
6. Alert the Circulation Manager if the student has interlibrary loan material checked out.
