Purpose
Policy for maintaining the faculty lockers and includes a procedure for faculty interested in checking out a faculty locker and key.
The Library's administrative assistant is the administrator of the lockers. Lockers will be assigned for an academic year unless demand for lockers are great. In this case, lockers will be assigned for a semester only. All items must be removed from the locker at the end of the academic year (or semester, when applicable). Please return the key to the CCLIR Administrative Office, suite 410, on the last day of classes.
Overview
Faculty may check out a key for a CCLIR 400 locker to assist with storing nonflammable items. The key needs to be returned to the Library's Administration Assistant and the contents of the locker removed after the academic year.
Required Knowledge/Skills
Read and complete faculty locker policy form provided by CCLIR Administrative Assistant in CCLIR suite 410.
Safety Issues/Precautions
Materials kept in lockers are the responsibility of the user. The library takes no responsibility for material lost, stolen or damaged while stored in the lockers.
Library books charged out to you, if they are not overdue, may be kept in lockers. No other library materials may be kept in lockers.
The library reserves the right to inspect the contents of a locker at any time and will do so periodically.
There is a $25.00 replacement fee for a lost locker key. Failure to return a key will result in fees or replacement charges.
It is prohibited to store inflammable or otherwise dangerous goods. In case of misuse, the administrator or authorized staff members will take measures, if necessary, without notice.

Procedure
Contact the Library's administrative assistant at ext 5364 or visit the CCLIR Administration Office Monday - Friday between the hours of 8am - 5pm for a locker request.
Complete a faculty locker policy form provided by the CCLIR Administrative Assistant.
The CCLIR Administrative Assistant will file the completed form and provide the faculty member with a copy of the faculty locker policy for reference.
The faculty member will return the key to the CCLIR Administrative Office, suite 410, on the last day of classes.
The CCLIR Administrative Assistant will update records noting that the locker key was returned.
