Overview:
Current Honors Papers are collected and published here: https://scholar.valpo.edu/undergrad_capstones/ (Older Print Honors Papers are filed in the collection room cabinet in the northeast corner, top drawers in the University Archives. This collection is kept alphabetically by author. The spreadsheet for the collection data is at S:\Lib\Archives\special_collections\VU Honors Papers.xls)

Attention to detail, knowledge of Excel spreadsheet software, ability to scan documents and determine data sets

Computer with access to S drive
Procedure:
Step 1: Verify that the student has followed this procedure: Submitting Honors Papers to the Library for Inclusion in ValpoScholar
Step 2: Open "Permissions_Tracking_CAPSTONES" Excel spreadsheet, S:\CCLS\ValpoScholar\Capstones. Input all information available per spreadsheet columns (including multiple entries for multiple authors) on the "Initial List" tab.
Step 3: Forward digital submissions to file path "S:\CCLS\ValpoScholar\Capstones\Honors Papers\Permissions - Needed" and notify notify scholar@valpo.edu of of the submission. For print submissions, please refer the student to Submitting Honors Papers to the Library for Inclusion in ValpoScholar. As As of December 2019, we are no longer accepting paper submissions.
Step 4: The Scholarly Communications Librarian will check the document for any possible copyright permission needs. After those have been addressed, the Scholarly Communications Librarian will send to Technical Services for record creation and publishing.
Step 5: A technical services librarian will create the ValpoScholar record, including any relevant metadata, and publish the record.
